I’m Patrick Huynh, a civil engineering student at University of British Columbia, where I am honored to be a Schulich Leader Scholarship recipient. I’m self-driven and curious, always looking to discover new things and improve.

Currently, I’m a Ground Station Hardware Developer for UBC Orbit, where we’re building a satellite named ALEASAT to assist with disaster relief by providing on-demand satellite imagery to amateur radio operators.

My work in the COMMS subteam involves helping get our satellite licensed by Global Affairs Canada and setting up the Ground Station at the Radio Science Lab! My callsign is VA7PKH.

I’m also a Service Desk Analyst for AgeCare, where I take on a range of IT projects. Here, I’ve lead cybersecurity training initiatives, developed internal web applications for employees, and streamlined processes to make workflows smoother—reducing operational costs.

Check out the projects on my site or connect with me on LinkedIn!
